Koh Phi Phi

Today we are going to the Long Beach, which is supposed to be one of the most beautiful beaches on Koh Phi Phi, white sand and clear water. The options to go there is to walk for around 20 minutes along the beach, going up and down in the jungle (which sounds nice) or to take a long tail boat (water taxi haha) and pay around 100 baht per person (2 euros) for 3 minutes ride to the beach.

Following our slogan - If you can do something without paying, do it! - we decided to walk to the beach :-D

But before that - one Chang for the way! :DD


The hike to the beach was not really easy considering the terrible heat outside. The views however were beautiful :-)


And finally we got to the Long beach.

The water was clear and we spent some time playing with a ball, which we picked up at some point on the island (don't really remember where and when :-))

We took the long tail boat back (to walk again was not the option :-)). For 5 of us we paid 400 baht, so 80 each, not bad, considering that they were asking 150 baht per person ! :-)

Where we go to eat? Since we did not have any decent lunch today, we need a huge portions! The choice is easy - Papaya!



After the dinner we decided to go check how much would be to rent a private long tail boat for 6 hours for tomorow and go around the Phi Phi Lei island (which makes part of a national park, has beautiful beaches but no accomodation).

There are many locals with boats that you can find along the main road on Koh Phi Phi, who offer you any kind of trips on the boat, half day or full day. Starting price was 4000 baht (around 80€) for 5 people for 3 hours trip around the islands. After some negotiation, we agreed for 2000 baht (40 euros) for 7 hours for all of us. Our guy was called Am, a young boy, around 22 y.o, who looked like stoned, but the price was good, so we decided to go for it! :-)


Tomorrow we were leaving at 9.00
