Moscow nightlife or Pasha face-control

Maxim was telling me that Moscow nightlife is not only posh clubs, beautiful women and glamour. One of the vital parts of it is face control or people who actually let you in the club.

The clubs mostly are open during the weekend, and all kind of people are heading to take part in the queue to the dream. Rich people, poor people trying to look like rich, girls looking for love or sponsor, men looking for one night stand or adventure – all these people want to get into the club and try their luck.

One of the famous people in Moscow is called Pasha face control, and his actual job is to tell people if they aloud or not to get into the bar. It doesn’t matter if you have money or even if you are brother of Prince Charles – Pasha will decide if you let you in or not.

What are the characteristics that can improve your chance to get in? The following:

· A man wearing good suit has a good chance to get inside (yeah, I am not joking. A man in suit in the disco!! Because he will probably not dance and will spend money on drinking and probably offering to some girls – which means spending money for the club, which means profit!)

· Beautiful girls dressed as if they are going to spend a New Years Eve (I mean by European terms). High heels, evening dresses, bling bling and brands – these girls will attract men, who spend money, which means profit for the club.

· Metrosexuals – guys dressed in modern clothes, bohemian style – who will probably not spend a lot, but these kind of characters are good for the atmosphere.

Who probably will not get inside?

· Not pretty girls – no point, since they will not spend a lot and nobody will invite them

· Average dressed guys – they are not made for the high Moscow society

· Couples – why to let them in? If they are already together, most probably will not spend a lot

This is really not a joke. This kind of severe selection you can meet at the entrance of all top clubs in Moscow. Don’t even imagine coming in jeans and t-shirt – no chance to get in!! The guys at the entrance will not tell you anything rude, they just show you at the exit and politely suggest to pass.

There is an exception though...you can come dressed as you like, but you need to book a table, minimum price of which will be 3,000 USD and average is 10,000 USD. I am not joking, it is 3 thousands dollars and tables got booked pretty fast!!

That is it…now you are out of the club and have to look for some posh location.
