Hoi An

Day 105
Hoi An

After the whole night on the bus, we arrived to Hoi An. I was lucky and had a good seat/bed, so I could sleep enough and be in a good shape when we arrived. The bus droped us in front of the hotels (as usual), and after checking the rest of the guesthouses in town, it was actually the best choice. We decided to stay here at least for one night.

The guys were a bit tired and have decided to sleep, but Belen and me went around the city.

Entry to all historical sites in Hoi An is via a coupon system, where for 90,000 dong (around 4 euros), you get a ticket that can be used to enter five attractions: one musem (you get a choice of 3), one old house, one assembly hall, the handicraft workshop and either the Japanese Covered Bridge or the Quan Cong Temple.

Tickets sold at various entry points, and when we tried to entry one of the old houses the girl just pointed where we shoud go buy the ticket.

Ok, don't ask me now all the names of the sites we visited, but the city is gorgeous and the temples are really nice and colourful too :-D

Another famous thing about Hoi An, its tailor shops. They say there are around 500 tailor shops in this town, where you can order any type of clothes and it will be done in couple of days for a really cheap price. We did not order anything though, since we are poor travelers and have no any space in our backpacks :D

Later after visiting couple of attractions, we were "trapped" to try something new - a depilation using thread :-D The woman has convinced us to try and frankly it was impressive, how they use thread and in couple of minutes you have no hair at all. We'll see how long it will take to grow back:-D

Later we went to meet guys and went together to Japanese covered bridge.

Cyclo drivers resting besides the bridge :-D

We got to the river and had couple of beers in the local bar. The city was decorated preparing to Chinese New Year - Tet.

And at night, the lights looked gorgeous.

We got back to the hotel and had some beers at our pool (which was outside and we did not use at all, but somehow in this city, it seemed to me that every hotel has a pool :-D Below, me, Belen and Luciano happy at the pool :-D
