Ho Chi Min City walk

Day 96
Ho Chi Minh City

Today we decided to do one of Lonely planet city walks around Saigon.

Just following the book, we walked for couple of hours around..

Was really funny to see all this communist signs - for me it was like back to the USSR past haha

This is Reunification Palace.

Which was really boring....

and back to the Saigon streets..

Notre Dame Cathedral...not like in Paris, bus still :-)))

Post office..

Saigon traffic...NO COMMENT

Later on, we were deciding about the way to move around Vietnam and finally chose "the open bus ticket". This ticket lets you make from 3 to 7 stops on the way from HCMC to Hanoi (or opposite) and you do not have to say the fixed dates, it is open date ticket.

Since we arrived just short time before Chinese/Vietnamese New Year - Tet, the prices for this ticket have doubled :-( Still we have succeded to buy a ticket for 45 USD, which included 5 stops and all buses were sleeping buses - so taking in consideration it was the cost of transportation for the next 3 weeks seemed like a GOOD DEAL!!

Some Bia Hoi before going to sleep!! :-D
