Great Barrier Reef

Day 15: Cairns

We woke up early to be ready by 7.30, when Brant came to pick us up. Due to the fact that Brant’s son, Bryce, was working at Green island, he got us a huge discont for the GBR trip – we just paide 27 australian dollars by person and this with lunch included!

First stop was Green island, where we spent 2 hours walking around and visited a crocodile farm as well.

Next stop – Great Barrier Reef. We arrived to the floating boat, where we got special swimming costumes to protect ourselves from stingers (Brant didn’t get one, since he is a superman haha)

We swam in the sea, saw tones of different colorful fish and even one young shark, was very beautiful and Juli was taking pictures using our new underwater protecting box for photo camera.

Its me :-D

and Juli:

On the way back I got a bit sea sick, but as soon as we have arrived, I was ok. We went to the supermarket with Brant, bough t all necessary stuff for cooking and then cooked potato omelet and sangria in his house, where we had nice dinner with Brant and his wife Chanel.

Tired but satisfied we went back home to Frank’s house and went to sleep. Next day we are flying to Melbourne.

  1. It seems you had the great time out there. And this time you did swim in the reef instead of snorkling.
