Summer palace

28 June

Day 215: Beijing

Since Luis and Bea were working today, together with Quico we went to Summer palace, another popular tourist attraction.

We decided to get a guide (at the entrance many people were offering guide assistance for few money) and we took this girl, who agreed for 90 Yuan (10 euros) to spend two hours with us wondering around Summer palace and explaining historical facts.

The girl explained us a bit of a history and in the end when we said, lets go up to visit Pagoda on the hill, told us that she can’t because:

1. She doesn’t have a ticket – Juli said he will get her in

2. She is tired – we said, common , you are young

3. And finally, she said she was pregnant – just to get rid of us haha

Summer palace was very nice, but I suppose we are a bit tired of gardens and temples haha

Later we went to Mongolian Embassy to pick up our passports and after that to the Silk market – a crazy place for crazy shopping :D

Shopping in China is like sport – they want to bargain with you, they want you to bargain and you end up exhausted but happy that you got your clothes for a price 10 times less then the initial one haha

We had lunch at the shopping center, on the ground floor, where half of tables were occupied by sellers of fack fashion brand bags - LV, Gucci, Burberry, even Tous - whatever you want you can buy here :DD

Later dinner with Luis, Quico and Bea and tomorrow we are going to the Great wall, finally!!
