Great wall, Spanish Party and Portugal is going home!

Day 216: Beijing

We left Luis place as usual at 9 am and went directly to Dongzhimen Bus station which was a 15 minutes’ walk from his place. Quico was not feeling well today, so we went by ourselves.

According to Lonely planet you can catch Bus nr. 916 to the last stop and from there take taxi to the wall. We decided to go to Mutianyu part of the wall, since we did not want to hike and it had a cable car :DD

There are several options to go to the Great Wall (for us to Mutianyu part):

· Take bus 916 to the last stop (around 20 Yuan) + taxi to the wall and back for 50 yuan/each. Total price go and back 90 Yuan/person.

· Take a private mini bus (from the people offering ride directly at the Bus station) to the wall and back for 120 Yuan/person. Minivan will wait for you for 2-3 hours and then take you back.

We chose the last option and successfully arrived to the wall

Took cable car up and slide way down (60 Yuan up by cable car and back by slide).

Entrance to the wall – 40 Yuan.

It was a cloudy day but still the wall was beautiful and impressive.

Later we organized a Spanish party at Luis place and went to the Irish pub to see Spain – Portugal game.

It was a great game and lots of tension, but Spain won 1:0 and Portugal is going home!
