Lijang

Day 174
Lijiang

We arrived to Lijang at around 1pm, went directly to Lijang’s old town, to a hostel recommended to us by a Swiss couple we met at Jane’s and it was a really nice and new place, called Travelers Inn. For 60 Yuan/day we got a double room, with hot water, TV and wireless internet.

Lijang old center is a UNESCO Heritage site and it really worth visiting. It probably was one of the most beautiful old towns I have seen in Asia (comparable to Japan’s Kyoto). The only problem of Lijang is that the old center has been transformed in a shopping old center :D At every corner and every street you see souvenir stalls and loads of Chinese tourists. If you can ignore all that…Lijang is beautiful!

and some examples of local suvenirs :D

Ronaldinho is tired :DD

and some local delights :DD

and night view....

Tomorrow morning we go to train station to catch train to Dali, our next destination.
