Day 38
Wellington
Wellington
Kirsten and Nick has organized a perfect day for us. We started with scenic walk from the ir house, crossing the hill called Tinakori, going towards the city center.
It was a really hot and sunny day, and Kirstin was telling me that we are really lucky to have this kind of weather in Wellinton, the windy city :-D
We went to botanic gardens and saw the roses blossom.
Then to the city center, Parliament building (beehive) and main square.
We took cable car and went up the hill to enjoy the view of the city and have an ice cream :-D
And later went to the port and had a dinner :-D
After dinner to have a coffee we went to a famous street, Cuba mall, full of colourful people, second hand shops and 70s style street fashion.
Then we went to chill a bit on the beach and soon we had to go to the concert. The band was called ‘Fly my pretties’, there are several NZ famouse artists who get together and have concerts couple of times a year and only in New Zealand.
The concert was very nice, a mix of light rock music together with reggae and great atmosphere.
After the concert we went home, next day we had a long way to Taupo!
