Russian visa in Shanghai and “Spanish disaster”

16 June

Day 203: Shanghai

At 9 am we went to the Russian consulate and they accepted all our papers for the visa without any problem. We paid 350 Yuan (35 Euros) each, and in 5 working days we should get our passports with 30 days tourist visa. Yeyyy!

By the way, we liked Shanghai very much. It is modern city, with European air and everything seemed to be much easier then in our previous trip to Southern China. Even in the taxi, you can see this kind of announcement..

We walked around the Bund again and later moved to Maggie’s place. Maggie and Vanessa stayed with us in Barcelona in summer, we had great time and now we are looking to discover the real Shanghai together :-D

After a diner a Taiwanese restaurant, together with Maggie we went to the Spanish bar, called Kuluska to see World Cup match between Spain and Switzerland.

In Kuluska, we met Dave (our future host from Couchsurfer, also a friend and host of our friend Gabriel, from Barcelona ….you see, this Couchsurfing network is like a sect haha). Dave came with his girlfriend, Jane, and two friends.

Spain unexpectedly lost against Switzerland 0:1, and we went home sad and depressed :-(
