Frankly, with couchsurfing life is much easier – easier to find a place to stay, contact locals who can show you the city and be a great company, besides you don't lose so much energy organizing the trip! :-)
In Tokyo its hard to find people with big flat. Majority is living in small apartments (approximately 35-40m2 including living room, kitchen, bathroom – everything..) Taking in consideration this fact, we will stay with different hosts – you know, not to annoy them with our noisy presence :-)
The plan for Japan is the following:
29-Oct Arrival to Tokyo. Akihabara, Shinjuku
30-Oct Kamakura day trip
31-Oct Asakusa, Ginza, Harajuku, meiji-jingu temple, Shibuya
1-Nov Nikko day trip
2-Nov Mt. Fuji day trip (5 lakes and onzen)
3-Nov Tokyo - Osaka
4-Nov Osaka
5-Nov Nara
6-Nov Miyajima island - day trip
7-Nov Nara - Tokyo
8-Nov departure from Tokyo
Besides the cultural program, we plan of course meeting with friends, celebrating Halloween on 31st of October, trying delicious Japanese food, beer and sake (of course, how can we miss it! :-) and having a good time!!
All this is in the near future…but befote that, let’s stick to the plan :-D
